The wind was north west , i've little sense of direction , but north east sounded colder .

I also hope my friends will find it beautiful here too.

And theres been a  storm and an exceptionally  high surge of the sea  rushing over the marshes  ,with the icy wind too pushing the sea miles inland at high tide , and breaking through the sea defences in some places .

 on Holkham bay at low tide 

And as well i'm doing paintings of the walk to this place , but as yet mostly in my head .

The geese have arrived ,
i did this quickly on my ipad . i was having my breakfast on top of the dunes, when they emerged out of the sky . I think ' drawing' and  'painting' on an ipad could be miraculously responsive and accurate - at least to my vision . Its immediate action and layering capacity IS how i see , but i have to learn . And although i put drawing and painting in apostrophes, it is that ,it demands all the qualities of looking and deciding , but  without the stuff I'm so used to using -  same inner stuff , but an exciting lack of familiarity as to how to do it .Oddly what the ipad does best for me is NOT this plain looking , but ....well,  i haven't got the word for it , I'll put up something instead , WHEN its done .

 

I wanted to see the sea , be next to it, and watch . ( i 'm puzzled by reading that water wants to end up as a teardrop shape ).
But i couldn't get to it , the tide had taken the sea further out than i'd ever known , and the mud was black ,and there was a powerful light , but not a gleam of sea  .

THEN, i fell  in a  deep gulley, my feet were wet , i felt weak ,and the marshes were a threat 

                                                                I tried to recover on a tussock , THEN
                                                                               the geese
                                                                              flew low over me ,i could hear their wings , i was in heaven.                                                                                               

And once back home :

a quick visit to spain

The shock of swimming in a pool, and heat outside .

One more for today .
The summers over and now when i walk by  the sea , and look into it ,i long for those swims i had .

mostly ipad paintings

I'm wondering if this will work , putting out the stuff i do on my ipad . i find the way of using layers and colours very appropriate to how i see things . i love doing it , and for 2 years i've not shown anyone except my family .
This i did early one morning , looking into the garden.
I think I'll put 1 or 2  a week out here, so there will be a slight sense of  ..... maybe .....showing other people what i'm doing.
