I did this  right by the river  'Dordogne' in france 20 years ago. Then found it again when i was moving my studio.I did a bit more to it ,and realised how moved  am by it .

At last ,with time, i can admire it , thats a new sensation .
Now its up in a fine big room in Norwich,  and , i'm happy that its being looked at .
Years ago i had a show in london with 16 huge water colours , related to this one but this one wasn't up, and it was a painful show , though the work its self  looked alive and fine i thought .

  1. The Painting is beautifull. I remember that show, the painfull one at Browse and Darby, was it brows and darby or william darby. sudennly struck by the word browse. The show looked great..the painfull show. But the audience was not buying and the gallery was like so many people with "power " in the art world, not prepared to stand up for beauty. If thoses browsing were not buying the browsing gallery was set too close. So great to hear that now the show felt like a good experience. and also glad the blog keeps going
