I think its new my feeling attached to my paintings,

today some of them went  to Norwich in a van .

I've been returning to the same place near wells beach, 

and doing a series of small oils , 12x10 inches, and  only occasionally using my ipad ,

 and then i was looking, longingly  at a huge water colour 4x5ft

 this is just a corner of it , showing a french underground angel.

Next month they will be together as some of my work will be assembled in the  'Assembly House' in norwich,

in the Noverre gallery. 

In the priory the faces have been hacked off the wooden pews , so as a comfort  i've given this lady ,- that Neddy was sitting next to - her head back . Also i put a goldfinch in her hand .

I'm using oil paints at the moment , but missing my ipad opportunities when im out walking , so today i took it with me . it gets oddly heavy when im out , and it was cold and windy . sitting in the same place i often go ,the ipad seemed a bit meek and i kept on trying to put  paint  into it

, in fact im sure i saw some naples yellow on my finger tips .

New years day  and ,

yesterday, i returned to my ipad , and the blooming app isn't properly responding , but theres still  far more to do .  The composer Tavener, died recently , and on the TV, i saw him saying in an ordinary way that he composed for God , yes i thought just that,  just remember  -  ordinary GOD . why not keep it simple and , of course then comes the extraordinary ordinary . 

I walked through wells woods , and  over the top to look out at the sea , it was a particular relief , as last night a US helicopter crashed in the fragile salt marshes just  a few miles down the coast from wells. 4 poor people died there and the marsh is  spattered with live ammunition and terrible debris from the violent accident.

and perhaps not surprisingly its not working out yet .

Theres been an uneasy gap because i lost confidence in my ipad skills . I returned to paint , the only medium i have a confidence and understanding of . i love paint and brushes .

 The wind was north west , i've little sense of direction , but north east sounded colder .

I also hope my friends will find it beautiful here too.

And theres been a  storm and an exceptionally  high surge of the sea  rushing over the marshes  ,with the icy wind too pushing the sea miles inland at high tide , and breaking through the sea defences in some places .
